  • The Pierce County Connected fund supports organizations providing services to address urgent needs and the disruption of basic human services to Pierce County’s most vulnerable populations due to COVID-19 and the necessary public health measures to address it.

Safe Families for Children

  • Safe Families for Children exists to support families in crisis. We are a network of families who volunteer to care for your children for as long as you need. Our goal is to keep your family intact. Once you feel like you and your home environment is stable and healthy we’ll work with you to reunite your family as soon as possible.

Tacoma Public Utilities: Emergency Assistance Program

Tacoma, Puyallup schools launch child care for kids of first responders, medical workers

  • On Monday, March 23, 2020 Tacoma Public Schools in partnership with Metro Parks Tacoma, Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, Greentrike, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound, and the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties opened three free, school-based day camps for the children of our community's healthcare workers and first responders. In Puyallup, all of the district's 22 elementary schools will provide child care in addition to free meals.
