Title:
Coordinator, White Center Early Learning Initiative
Where: Child Care Resources, 1225 S. Weller, Seattle
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, some evenings
and weekends
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duties: This new project focuses on the professional development for
early childhood educators who work at centers or run family child care
businesses located in White Center. The position would work with child
care providers to enroll them in the program, coordinate academic
advising and on-site coaching, and provide community visibility.
Seasoned project manager with excellent communication, organizational
and presentation skills needed. Experience working with child care
providers. Must have the ability to provide an insured vehicle.
Starting Salary $39,500 - $50,000 per year

Center Early Learning Consultant/Mentor Job Announcement
Child Care Resources is seeking individuals to provide on-site
technical assistance and consultation, coaching and mentoring for child
care programs located in White Center. We are seeking individuals with
experience and expertise in one or more of the following content areas:
Infant Development, Toddler Development, Preschooler Development,
Bilingual/Bicultural Education, Creative Curriculum, High Scope
Curriculum, Family Child Care Accreditation, NAEYC Accreditation,
Social-Emotional Development,
and Child Care Center Administration & Management.
Contractors work in partnership with child care center teachers and
administrators and/or family child care providers to model and support
best practices in early childhood education and management and support
professional development goals. Contractors are supervised by Child Care
Resources staff. This initiative has been generously funded by Thrive By
Five and The Gates Foundation.
Desired Qualifications:
• B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field (equivalent degrees
from other countries accepted). Exceptions to this may be granted based
on a candidate’s experience and background, and commitment towards
pursing a B.A.
• Coursework and/or formal training in culturally appropriate/anti-bias
practice and theory and continued commitment to this work.
• Five years of work with young children in a group setting,
• Expertise in effective coaching and mentoring practices that supports
adult learners,
• Proven ability to effectively support and motivate people toward the
achievement of desired goals,
• Ability to provide leadership, innovation, motivation and constructive
feedback to Early Learning professionals,
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity with experience working with
diverse individuals, groups, communities, and organizations,
• Comprehensive understanding of quality standards and best practices in
the field of early education, including knowledge of ECERS/ITERS/FCCERS
and curriculum implementation and child assessments;
• Comfort and a commitment to utilizing and supporting the use of
research based assessments to guide the development of a quality
improvement plan,
• Knowledge of child care licensing and the regulatory environment
surrounding Family and Center based Child Care,
• Experience using a computer for communication, documentation and
research and ability to use this skill to teach adults,
• Personal transportation, including vehicle liability insurance, valid
WA driver’s license.
General Responsibilities:
• Utilize third party conducted program assessment to identify program
strengths and areas for improvement,
• Work with directors, teachers and/or family child care providers to
develop program improvement plan,
• Provide ongoing assistance and support to implement the program
improvement plan,
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of program improvements,
• Model professionalism and best practices at all times,
• Participate in regular CCR contractor meetings,
• Participate in contractor training and other professional development
activities required by CCR,
• Submit completed documentation, including timesheets, in a timely
manner.
Pay and Expectations
These contract positions will pay $35 - $45 per hour for contact time
and $17.50 – $22.50 for non contact time, DOE. Contractors do not
receive benefits. Contracts will be approximately 8 hours per month per
family child care program and 20 hours per month per center based
program. The desirable candidates will be able to provide services to
several programs (50 hours per month for center based work and 35 hours
per month family child care) and make a long term commitment to working
with those programs; preferably two years. There will be an initial
training requirement of 40 hours that will occur during the month of
April.

Human
Resources/Executive Assistant
Where: Child Care Resources
Start Date: When filled
Duties: The Human Resources/Executive Assistant is responsible for
supporting the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Program Officer
including completing project work, scheduling of meetings,
correspondence, setting up organization systems, responding to requests
from the public, assembling reports and information for funders and the
public. She/he is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations
of the human resources function at CCR. The HR/Executive Assistant is
responsible for managing the recruitment process including writing
position ads, sourcing open positions, screening resumes, conducting
initial telephone screening interviews, scheduling in person interviews
with hiring teams, computer competency testing, conducting reference
checks and preparing new hire packets. He/she is also responsible for
interfacing with the Board of Directors (ex. scheduling meetings,
fulfilling requests, taking minutes at board meetings, etc.). The
HR/Executive Assistant is a member of the agency Support Team and
reports to the Chief Program Officer.
Hours: Full time, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Starting Salary $40,000 - $55,000 per year, DOE

Resource Specialist, Provider Services

Duties: Develop and maintain positive relationships with child care
providers, agencies and organizations concerned with children in a child
care setting. Link providers with resources and provide technical
assistance related to working with children in child care (birth - 12
years. Experience training adults is preferred. Excellent communication
skills, computer literacy req’d. Project management skills a plus. The
successful candidate must be a self-starter, knowledgeable of child care
issues and possess strong communication and “people” skills. Some
evening work. Reliable transportation needed for county wide travel.

Project Assistant, White Center Early Learning
Initiative (WCELI)

Duties: Responsible for supporting all aspects of the project including
meeting planning/venue, data entry in customized database, basic
bookkeeping, correspondence, assisting with producing reports to funders
and supporters, production of materials, answering project related
questions and gen’l problem solving. Must be a self-starter, have a
broad set of computer-related skills, strong communication skills,
written and oral; the ability to manage multiple projects, proven
ability to work in a team environment. Comfort working with a database
is a plus.
Must be able to successfully pass a credit history check.
Starting Salary $28,500 - $37,000 per year DOE

consultant/mentors include a CDA or two year degree in ECE, 3 years of
work with young children in a group setting, experience supporting adult
learners, demonstrated commitment to diversity, and ability to travel in
King County. Additional education and experience may be required for
contractors working with specific child care programs (see below). These
are contract positions will pay $35 - $45 per hour DOE. Contractors do
not receive benefits. Contracts will be both for long and short term
time frames with a range of hours depending on the work required.

practice and theory and continued commitment to this work.
• 5 years of direct services with children under the age of 6
• 2 years of experience teaching and or coaching adult learners
• of 3 years experience working in diverse communities, supporting the
bicultural socialization process of children and adults
• Experience and/or training in the use of Creative Curriculum 4th
Edition or High Scope
• Experience using a computer for communication, documentation and
research and ability to use this skill to teach adults
Additional Minimum Qualifications for NAEYC Accreditation Mentors
• 3 years experience as a child care program administrator that includes
leading a program through the NAEYC accreditation process
• B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field (equivalent degrees
from other countries accepted) including a minimum of 9 credit hours in
leadership, management, or administration.
• Time and commitment to work with a program throughout the
accreditation process (6 – 24 months).
