Reports and Labels

Child Care Resources (CCR) maintains a database of licensed child care providers in King County, Washington based on information received from the licensing agency, Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).  Most of the licensed providers in the county elect to be listed on our database and receive referrals to their programs; some do not wish to receive referrals or any mailings from CCR.

Information about child care providers in other counties may be obtained from the child care resource and referral agencies serving those counties.  Please visit the Washington State Child Care Resource and Referral Network to locate other resource and referral agencies in Washington.

CCR is a private, not-for-profit agency and provides information from the database at a nominal charge to help cover the cost of database maintenance and staff time. Please note the following regarding this service:

The database changes frequently as child care providers leave the business and new ones are added.  MAILING LABELS ARE SOLD FOR A ONE-TIME USE ONLY AND MAY NOT BE DUPLICATED FOR FUTURE USE OR RESOLD.

The information from our database can be selected and sorted based on several parameters:  city, zip code, type of care, general region of the county, etc.

CCR supports the business of child care and does not want to burden providers with large amounts of commercial mailings.  Child care providers can elect to be exempt from some types of mailings.  If you are a commercial mailer the labels or information you receive will be edited for this exemption.

Most child care providers are small businesses operated from the provider’s home.  To protect their privacy we do not generally give telephone numbers.

Other information about child care providers, such as fees charged, capacity, special services, etc., may be provided on a case by case basis.

Requests for labels or reports can usually be filled within one week.

Applicable sales tax and the cost of sending reports or labels to the requester will be added.

• Prepayment may be required for first-time requests.
• Payment may be made by check, money order, or credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
