Strategic Planning Goals
2009 - 2011


1. Children in non-parental child care will be in higher-quality settings because of the services that CCR provides.

a. Remove or reduce barriers, including cultural ones, which prevent children from receiving quality care.

b. Improve the professionalism of the early childhood education field.

c. Provide resources and support to all programs (including family, friend, and neighbor care) to ensure high-quality care for all.

d. Increase input from families and providers to influence program development and services.

e. Use technology, evidence-based approaches, best practices, and assessment to inform our work.

 


2. The early learning network in King County (and beyond) will better serve all children.

a. Define CCR’s role through identifying and building on our strengths and those of our partners.

b. Expand early learning advocacy.

c. Build stronger connections with the K-12 education system to ensure greater success for all children entering school.



3. Improved organizational strength and visibility will position CCR to provide exceptional services and to remain a leader in the early learning community.

a. Invest in CCR’s infrastructure.

b. Communicate CCR’s impact, expertise, and unique role.

c. Increase board understanding of all aspects of the organization to ensure they can make well-informed policy decisions.

d. Ensure that our policies, procedures, and practices support people of all backgrounds.

e. Achieve NACCRRA quality assurance status (accreditation) to show commitment to deliver quality services.
