Child Care Resources For nearly 15 years, Child Care Resources has been promoting school readiness, a stable community and equity for children by building a quality child care system. A Resource for Parents Seeking Child Care Child Care Resources (CCR) helps families in challenging situations find answers to child care questions. Parents who work evenings or weekends, children with special needs, families struggling to manage the cost of care and homeless families can all find personalized and in-depth information, referrals and help. Parents can access our internet database 24 hours a day — allowing them to look for care when it is convenient. A Partner to Child Care Providers to Improve Quality Child Care Resources offers providers training, technical assistance, supplies and mentorship to increase the quality of care. From Shoreline to Auburn, CCR’s mobile resources library is on the road visiting child care sites to share books, videos, free materials and staff expertise. In addition, CCR trains low-income women transitioning from welfare to work to start home-based child care businesses or begin a career as a teacher in a child care program. An Advocate with Others in our Community for Children Child Care Resources partners with other non-profits, the government and the business sector to increase resources focused on early learning and child care. CCR educates the community about the importance and impact of early learning. The ripple effect of quality child care significantly contributes to a stable community. It is our mission to ensure access to quality child care for every child, especially children from disadvantaged circumstances. We do this by being a resource for parents, a partner to care providers, and an advocate for children in the area of early learning.
